Event Overview

Join us for a unique opportunity to participate in the "Preparing for Violence" workshop at The Tactical Games regional event, scheduled to take place at The Farm Training Center in Fairfield, UT, from September 6-8. This free, in-person workshop, led by Andrew Napieralski, EFC Lead Instructor and experienced SWAT Team Leader, will provide civilians with essential skills in weapon-based entanglements and self-defense tactics. The workshop is designed for any civilian who carries a gun or has an interest in the Tactical Games.

Event Logistics:

  • Registration: Arrive early to register for EFC & TTG events. 
  • What to Bring: Water, snacks, pants, shirt, hat (optional), athletic shoes or boots (no open-toed shoes), preferred holster, and a training gun.

 PREPARING FOR VIOLENCE

Workshop Objectives

Participants will learn:

The fundamentals of concealed carry, including holster considerations and placement, garment options, and carry options (purse, backpack, sling bag).
Effective pistol presentations from both two-handed and one-handed positions.
Techniques for weapon retention during presentation and while in a clinch.

Long gun considerations, including ready and carry options, slinging for hands-on engagement, and long gun retention.

Basic movement techniques while holding a firearm.

What Participants Can Expect

Introduction

Concealed Carry Considerations

Learn about different holster types, garment choices, and alternative carry options.

Pistol Presentations

Practice drawing your pistol from various positions and understand the reasons behind each technique.

Retention Techniques

Discover the C-A-P and C-U-T-T methods for retaining your weapon.

Long Gun Skills

Explore different ready positions, sling techniques, and retention methods for long guns.

Movement Training

Gain insight into moving safely and effectively with a firearm in hand.

Conclusion

Participate in a debrief to review key takeaways and address any questions.

Terms and Conditions

Lottery Registration:

Participants must register for the lottery by August 28, 2024. Winners will be announced on August 30, 2024.

RSVP and Waiver

Selected participants must RSVP and sign a waiver via DocuSign by September 2, 2024.

Participant Requirements

Participants must bring their own preferred holster and training gun. No live ammunition is allowed in the workshop. We will have some training guns on hand. Long guns will have bolts removed.

Dress Code

Participants should wear appropriate clothing and footwear (athletic shoes or boots, no open-toed shoes).

Liability Waiver

All participants must sign a liability waiver to participate in the workshop.

Photography and Video

Participants consent to the use of their images for promotional purposes by Effective Fitness Combatives (EFC) and The Tactical Games (TTG).

Prohibited Activities

Participants must follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by the instructors. Unsafe behavior may result in removal from the workshop.

Acknowledgement

By attending this workshop, participants acknowledge the inherent risks associated with firearms and combatives training and agree to the terms outlined in the waiver.
